Behind Shannon Point

Shannon's mother is an artist and her father is an engineer. She thinks this explains a lot about herself.

She grew up in southern New Mexico and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2009. She's been drawing her whole life but thought the sciences might pay better (and keep her from getting bored). She graduated cum laude in 2013 from Seattle University with a BS in Environmental Science, minor in Chemistry.

Notable accomplishments include: High school rotary exchange student in Cipolletti, Rio Negro, Argentina. Resident Assistant for Hurtado Living Learning Community at Seattle University. Summer internship in Washington, DC for the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources. Caring for small parrots who are too curious for their own good.

As of 2024, Shannon works for a local mega-corp as a technical product manager. It turns out the sciences do in fact pay pretty well.
